Engine rebuild
Given all the peculiarities of this old engine, special attention to machinery work and engine assembly was needed. Thus the engine rebuild was done at the engine specialists GOTTI PERFORMANCE workshop, owned by Tiago Rodrigues and Gonçalo Silva. They were chosen to do the job due to my clubmate Mário Tavares good advice.
The amazing seek for perfection in this case was done by these two guys, who actually are a quite well known Mini engine tuning specialists. They started to rebuild the carburetors and the cylinder head, which quality work is shown by the following pictures.

After the carbs and head rebuild was done, they started the gearbox rebuild as shown in the following pictures.
The next steps will be the block rebuild (undergoing work...), assembling all components together and tests the engine.
